The refs are back, and normality is restored, but what were the top 3 performances in week 4? This is our choice…
3: Washington Redskins 24 - 22 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Robert Griffin III is fast becoming a contender for rookie of the year; passing 323 yards and rushing for a TD for the Redskins. Tampa Bay had reduced an 18-point deficit to take the lead at 21-22 with 1:42 to play. But RG III wasn’t having any of that, and gave a poor Billy Cundiff the chance to kick a 41-yard field goal for the win, and he took it.

Arizona took Miami into OT, where Jay Feeley kicked for the win, but it was the defense who shone throughout the game. Daryl Washington sacked QB Ryan Tannehill, and Vonnie Holliday recovered the fumble for a TD, and then Kerry Rhodes intercepted a Tannehill pass after being hit by Paris Lenon for the final Cardinals score.
1: Carolina Panthers 28 - 30 Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons QB Matt Ryan is in fine form. He led Atlanta to victory, after a fumble from Cam Newton left the Panthers punting, and downing the ball at the Atlanta 1. From that position however, Ryan managed to throw a 59-yard pass to Roddy White, and Matt Bryant kicked his third field goal with 5 seconds to go to give the Falcons their best start since 2004.
Play of the Week:
Jamaal Charles, Kansas City Chiefs
After two fumbles, Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles scores a 37-yard TD. Unfortunately, the rest of his game wasn’t quite as good. See it here!
